We are seeking a skilled AWS Architect with a strong blend of technical expertise and business acumen. The ideal candidate will design and implement cloud solutions that align with organisational goals, drive cost efficiency, and enhance operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect scalable, secure, and highly available AWS solutions tailored to business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical strategies.
- Optimize AWS infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost.
- Lead cloud migration projects and provide technical guidance to development teams.
- Stay updated on AWS services and industry trends to ensure best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an AWS Architect with a track record of delivering business-driven solutions.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, DevOps practices, and cloud security.
- Exceptional communication skills to interface with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
Core Technical Skills
1. AWS Services Mastery:
- Compute (EC2, Lambda)
- Storage (S3, EBS, Glacier)
- Databases (RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora)
- Networking (VPC, Route 53, CloudFront)
- Security (IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, Shield)
- Monitoring and Management (CloudWatch, CloudFormation, CloudTrail)
2. Cloud Architecture Design:
- Designing scalable, secure, and highly available systems.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid solutions.
3. DevOps and Automation:
- CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Automation scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
4. Cost Optimization:
- Understanding pricing models and optimizing for cost efficiency.
- Leveraging services like AWS Cost Explorer and Trusted Advisor.
5. Security Best Practices:
- Designing systems compliant with security frameworks (e.g., ISO, GDPR).
- Penetration testing, encryption, and secure key management.
