Rate: up to £608 per day (inside IR35 – would need to use Umbrella Company)

Location: UK based candidates – 100% remote working with ability to travel if necessary (expenses paid for any travel)


Key Responsibilities:

  • For assigned suppliers: Ensure all documentation is accurate and maintained within the assigned data tools
  • For renewal or new business needs:
  • Proactively prepare to renew/ re-source agreements with expiring term dates
  • Identify and pre-qualify potential suppliers based on business requirements
  • Construct financial and qualitative models to provide fact-based assessments of suppliers’ abilities to meet/ exceed client needs at competitive price points
  • Lead Internal teams through the strategic sourcing process transactions
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, working with Legal, Finance and Business partners
  • Ensure the client's business strategies drive renewal and/or sourcing efforts, optimising supplier base and financial targets
  • Complete assigned special projects, meeting schedule and quality requirements
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively manage projects with a pipeline of sourcing activities and deliver on associated timelines
  • Adopt and utilise Global Supplier Management tools and reporting mechanisms.
  • Provide necessary visibility to Global Supplier Management leaders; escalate issues appropriately
  • Proactively maintain and build category expertise by staying informed of industry trends and technology shifts
  • Experienced with spend segment categorisation methodology and utilisation of spend data to drive category specific strategy and management


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

  • BA/BS in business, finance, supply chain management or applicable field
  • Minimum of 5 years in focused sourcing/category management environment
  • Experience in comparable procurement (or supply chain) roles
  • Deep expertise in procurement and negotiation techniques; proven ability to deliver favourable agreements which meet business requirements
  • Expert in cost modelling and building business cases
  • Well-versed in supplier management best practices
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
  • Program management experience
  • Working knowledge with e-sourcing/e-RFx contracting process and tools
  • Able to travel as required


Additional Requirements:

  • Schedule will be Monday – Friday and core hours will be 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Flexibility to work U.S. hours will be required if supporting a US based project during this contract.
  • Standard background check will be required
  • Excellent stakeholder management - Business stakeholders must sign off on requirements – they will want to be included in negotiations to provide functional knowledge and expertise
  • Weekly status reports and completion of savings tracker.
