DESCRIPTION

The Sr. IT Support Engineer will lead daily performance of computer systems. Additionally, answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems from both our employees at headquarters and internationally. Provides desktop, laptop and application support to internal users.

  • Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
  • Install and perform repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications
  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support
  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees
  • Make recommendations of hardware and software for the organization
  • Provide regular updates on the status of tickets, open issues and projects
  • Perform troubleshooting of supported desktop operation systems and applications.
  • On an ongoing basis, provide training to internal users, review and provide constant improvement to systems and functionality working closely with relevant users.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system configurations for peak efficiency.
  • Work with our Global Technology Solutions group to develop, participate and communicate corporate strategies.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase business efficiencies.
  • Ensure systems are operational and provide support and solutions when required.

  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees
  • Perform desktop and laptop system deployments including hardware and software configuration.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of tickets, open issues and projects.
  • Perform troubleshooting of supported desktop operation systems and applications.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for systems and infrastructure in alignment with our policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the security team to address vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Work with our Business Intelligence teams to develop data reporting requirements and needs.


Experience:

  • 6-8 years of relevant experience required 
  • 2-4 years of experience with AA Degree or 2-4 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Able to plan and prioritize workload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred
