Rate: £273.72 per day (inc holiday pay) - CPL/Ntrinsic would run your payroll, similar to an Umbrella agreement for this contract. Basic rate not inc holiday pay is £238.97
100% ONSITE in Bedford
As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing ongoing technical support and maintenance of production systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes).
- You will provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands.
- Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting. Client currently operating Windows 10
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Advanced proficiency in IT Infrastructure Operations is required.
- Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Windows Desktop Management
- Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies to enhance system efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to server and network areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize technology solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends and recommend innovative IT solutions
- On-site resolution of incidents within the time frame established.
- Ensuring work station operability.
- Solution of incidents or of work assigned until completion. This service comprises the resolution of workplace equipment (such as but not limited to: desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals, telephones, etc.) and software incidents and problems, which require on-site intervention.
- Hardware and software installation on- site. Activities such as installation, movement or removal of workplace equipment, adding hardware features and/or new software or new software releases to an installed workplace equipment and altering configuration parameters.
- Local support shall consider all accessories and peripherals as part of the workplace i.e.: Nomad tokens or similar accessories will have to be managed. Stock and report activities linked to these accessories have to be taken into account as well.
- IP-Phone Services - This service will provide on-demand activities such as support of IP-phones (movement of a phone, adding hardware features to installed workplace equipment, connection to the PC, etc.).
- Network Patching - This service will provide on-demand activities linked to installation or movement on site. The scope is to link the network port to the switch in the distribution room. The maintenance of the infrastructure or the switch itself and management of network or port configurations is out of the scope of the local service.
- Follow up and documentation of performed tasks in Help Desk tool (currently BMC Remedy).
- Carrying out changes requested by users through requests and supporting the equipment management to carry out equipment upgrading, improvements or modifications.
